Andrew Lee is like a living legend to me, from his retail space Commissary in Costa Mesa to his infamous brand (invisible:man) and their flagship in NYC. There is even a Commissary Bar/Gallery opening soon. I wish I could sum up his importance to street culture, maybe it is the seamless blending of all his interests into his projects or the fact that he has never compromised. (i:m) did the official shirt for the 2009 documentary on Norwegian metal “Until the Light Takes Us.” If that doesn’t win you over, I don’t know what will. In a world where some confuse street culture with hip-hop clothing Mr. Lee keeps things dark, metal, and evil. He has designed for brands such as Stussy, Neighborhood, Mad Hectic, Japanese skate brand T-19, and now Altamont. (invisible:man) and Altamont worked together on this small capsule collection that consists of a button front hooded fleece, short sleeve woven shirt, a new era fitted cap, amongst other things. The whole collection will be releasing this Spring so check Altamont for a dealer near you.
