It’s official! The Strokes’ website confirms that the band is in the process of recording their fourth studio album, the long-awaited follow up to First Impressions On Earth. They are currently working with grammy award winning producer, Joe Chiccarelli, and grammy award winning engineer, Gus Oberg @ NYC’s Avatar Studios. Keep on checking their website for updates and additional “video vignettes” of the boys hard at work. Personally, I can’t wait to see/hear the results of this comeback album, especially after the supposed difficulties the old friends had been having for the past couple of years. In an interview with SPIN, Julian Casablancas, lead vocalist of The Strokes stated, “We’re not like people who go to the movies together. It’s weird with the band, a band is actually a great way to ruin a friendship.” Hold onto your tight pants and leather jackets, an interesting ride awaits…
