The Heavy Sound, a music collective consisting of world-class artists, celebrity DJs and musicians, presents a night of music to raise awareness of diabetes. Actor Michael Rapaport, who is currently directing a documentary about A Tribe Called Quest, will host the event alongside Malik Isaac Taylor, better known as Phife Dawg (from ATCQ). As a diabetic, Phife recently received a long-awaited kidney transplant and this event will mark his first appearance in New York City since his surgery. |

a good sound for a good cause. good luck to Phife with his new kidney. heavy sound, light sound, healthy sound all aorund us.
Sounds like a great time for a great cause, I wish I would make it to NYC or better yet, make it into a tour.
There are 24 million of us diabetics in the US and I don’t see anyone missing such a benefit. food for thought.
