Album of the Decade – DAFT PUNK (DISCOVERY)
When Daft Punk released their second album in 2001, many of the loyalist ravers who adored the duo’s Chicago-inspired acid house didn’t get the newer, sleeker approach. But as dance music unfolded in the ’00s with the return of the song-based dance floor hit, Daft Punk’s early decade experiment was prescient. True, the nine-year-old record was later boosted by Daft Punk’s jaw dropping live return and Kanye’s slick sampling. But that just proves the true timelessness of this classic record.
Runner Up 1 – RADIOHEAD (KID A)
While electronic music icons Daft Punk were learning to write songs, the ’90s premier songwriters were learning to use electronics in a way that combined the two art-forms so implicitly that their separation now seems impossible.

Runner Up 2 – OUTKAST (STANKONIA)
The third of our three top albums to be released at the dawn of the decade, this might speak to the quality of the subsequent ten years. Or it might just speak to how truly great music must age before being fully appreciated. And no one can deny the everlasting appeal of Outkast’s finest hour.
