The Knife (and accompanying solo act Fever Ray) have become famous for their dark and brooding stage shows. So it’s not all that surprising to hear that the duo were asked to compose the soundtrack to Tomorrow, In a Year, a Danish “electro-opera” about Charles Darwin’s Origin of the Species. What is surprising is hear the voice of electroclash refugee Mt. Sims dueting with Karin Dreijer Andersson. The opera also features upcoming DFA signee Planningtorock, who don’t really rock at all, but are certainly cut from the same mutant cabaret cloth as The Knife.
