New Year’s Eve is always a good reason to get all your friends together, but if you’re not careful it can be an annoying night where everyone goes out, wears sequins, drives like an idiot, and overcrowds the clubs.  I often debate staying in on NYE altogether, opting to rally on New Year’s Day instead, when all the drunken idiots are bedridden or behind bars, and the parties are still poppin’ but less pedestrian.

Enough shit-talking though, because I do always end up somewhere epic on New Years, typically where the music is top-notch and the booze is at an arm’s length away.  And, after all, this is the end of a decade we are closing in on, so sitting home is definitely not an option—especially since we have a whole weekend to recover (kudos to the party gods on that one).
