8 Mile actress Brittany Murphy has died after reportedly suffering a heart attack at the age of 32.
The star who appeared alongside Eminem in the box office smash died following a cardiac arrest, according to TMZ.com.
The Los Angeles City Fire Department told the celebrity website that they received a call at 8 am this morning to a home listed as belonging to Murphy’s husband, Simon Monjack.
Murphy was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre and pronounced dead on arrival, according to a hospital spokeswoman, reports BBC News.
During her career Murphy also teamed up with superstar DJ Paul Oakenfold for the single “Faster Kill Pussycat” in 2006 and she coveredQueen’s “Somebody to Love” and Earth, Wind & Fire’s “Boogie Wonderland” in the film Happy Feet.
