The young Fresno MC Fashawn, has built up quite a buzz in a short time, with his first official full length Boy Meets World recently released to rave reviews. Barely skin deep in his career, he’s already made a habit of creating fans instantly with an insane amount of energy during his live shows, in addition to the plethora of established artists lucky enough to have collaborated him in the studio. Currently on tour, building his catalog with addictive beats, verses and features with such accomplished artists as DJ Muggs, DJ Khalil, DJ Exile, Chace Infinite, Evidence, The Alchemist, Aloe Blacc, Roc C, Oh No, UNI as well as the Roots Crew.
The Antidote was my introduction to his recorded material after seeing him headline at University of Riverside with DJ Exile, Aloe Blacc, Maya Jupiter, Intuition & VerBS. Needless to say, the show was packed, and the anticipation for his performance was easily visible, with all the other artists asking the crowd how ready were they? They were, and with classic samples and ill production this EP doesn’t dissapoint.
