Dam-Funk releases the next track from the album Toeachizown with the “Mirrors“. Dam has definitely fallen into his own with 5xLP funk opus known as Toeachizown. The Stones Throw label to which he calls home has been, with the help of himself and Peanut Butter Wolf, have began to seriously educate listeners not only on what sounds used to be but how they are growing, changing, rearranging, and starting anew. Its a modern nu-school funk that is on the rise and being created with the utmost attention to those that have come before it. Dam-Funk may not be your thing but you have to give him and Stones Throw some respect for putting out a distinctive new sound while giving their fans a bit of a history lesson as well. It’s good to see somebody is bringing back the F-U-N-K.
