URB: What do your live/DJ sets comprise of?
GRUM: The live show isn’t quite complete yet, so it’s purely DJ sets I’ve been focusing on just now. I tend to play quite eclectic really, encompassing contemporary disco, some ‘80s pop influenced stuff, Italo, heavier electro, piano house…really just anything with a cool vibe. For me, it’s not really about rave noises anymore and more about playing cool, exciting music.
URB: Where are your favorite places to perform/go clubbing?
GRUM: I played at Warehouse Project in Manchester just this weekend, which was a massive thing for me as I’ve always enjoyed going there for big nights out. Other favorites include Moles club in Bath, which is a tiny venue but has a great atmosphere, and of course, places like Fabric in London and Razzmatazz in Barcelona.
URB: What are your impressions of NYC?
GRUM: Whenever I’ve been over, it’s always been quite a quick visit so I haven’t really got to the heart of the city yet. I was there for a couple of days last October, though, and had an awesome time. I need to book myself a holiday and come over and experience it properly!
