Dr. Dre has announced a partnership with HP to create the HP Envy 15 Beats, a laptop custom designed for hip-hop producers in mind. Clearly, this is the final step Dre’s decade long process to create Detox. Earlier steps included the design of custom headphones (they’re LOUD because they have batteries) and shilling for Dr. Pepper. The computer will retail for $2,299 and can make anyone like Dre—if being like Dre means not releasing music and spending a bundle on personal trainer sessions.
