When M.A.N.D.Y. (Patrick Bodmer & Philipp Jung) started the Get Physical label in 2002 with DJ T (Thomas Koch) and Booka Shade (Walter Merziger, Arno Kammermeier & Peter Hayo), it was well past the era of the techno label’s dominance in dance music. Seven years later, Get Physical has defied the odd by becoming a trusted imprint with over 100 releases, each bearing the mark of quality. URB asked M.A.N.D.Y. to select their favorite Get Physical releases to go along with their new mix compilation celebrating the label’s lucky year seven.

This is still one of our favourites. A good remix is about keeping the original vibe whilst at the same time bringing a completely new aspect to the song, and this is done perfectly here. It isn’t cut into bits and pieces so that no one can recognize the original anymore…
