Shameless Plug and The Masquerade Music Park opened up the flood gates so to speak for the official Goodie Mob reunion show on Sep 19th in Atlanta. A sopping wet crowd gathered to witness the south’s first family take the stage together for the first time in years.
The Masquerade Music Park is a struggle to navigate in the rain, meaning if you need to use the restroom, you’re out of luck homie; and as more and more folks piled into the mud pit more sneakers fell victim to the careless bow throwers and A Town stompers lurking in the crowd. One cat with a fresh out the box pair of Air Yeezy’s looked scared for his life as he muscled his way to the stage.
Atlanta’s own DJ Jelly spun some of the city’s most beloved joints while Poet Georgia Me gave ATL sermons to the rain drenched crowd. Soon after DJ Kizzy Rock and his crew took to the stage, showing what original hip-hop dance was about before the youngsters started cranking that Soulja Boy.
