Honest Music

The musical travels of ST/MiC began such a long time ago that recounting each step would take a bit too long. Suffice it to say, having worked the boards for Rass Kass and C-Rayz Walz amongst others easily explicates this producer’s talents.

The other side of the coin, though, is that much as his name would point out, ST/MiC emcees in addition to getting on the production side of tings. Any number of double threats boast of an unmatched acumen in these two distinct disciplines, but not too many can deliver. ST/MiC doesn’t come off poorly when rhyming and in fact is able to turn in a few masterful couplets – ‘I move in silence, slide, still seismic/In heavy rotation I reign, changing the climate’ – but beats are truly this man’s forte.

There might be a few too many soul hooks, ‘Every Time I Leave’ being a culprit, but considering that the production behind these efforts are steeped in true school rap tropes, any missteps can easily be ignored.

Being released via Domination Records, which also sports Tha Connection on its roster, Oct 31st marks the date that ST/MiC might make his way into your heavy rotation.
