Trent Reznor and Co. played their first of four shows in Los Angeles that are being promoted as the final Nine Inch Nails shows. The band began with playing all of 1994’s The Downward Spiral from start to finish. But the real treat came in an angst free break when Gary Numan joined the band onstage for renditions of “Metal” and “Cars.” Trent’s 20 year career culminating in playing tamborine on the later song’s instrumental chorus.
This show didn’t mark the first time Numan joined NIN onstage. Here’s footage of the same two songs recorded at the O2 Arena in London last month.
