It’s hard to believe that Big L, one of hip hop’s greatest MC’s, lost his life ten years ago this past Feb. Although several tributes have appeared over the years, both in recorded and live formats, this Sunday will see the dedication and repainting of a mural in memory of Big (a.k.a. Lamont Coleman) at 140th Street & Lenox Avenue in Harlem (where else?).

Fans are encouraged to cherish their memories of the MC’s life and work from noon to 6PM with music, food and drinks available to all attendees. In addition to all of this, organizers are also promising a sneak preview of a Big L documentary.
