Friendly Fires stopped by MTV to pay Alexa Chung a visit and performed their newest single, “Kiss of Life.” While there is no release date set for their sophomore album, the band is still riding high on the success of their self-titled debut. This live performance amps up the three-piece ensemble with a trumpet, sax, and another guitar.
If you haven’t seen the video for the song, it features an entire African drumline and is a gorgeous array of colors and indie-pop. I’ve said this before, but Ed Macfarlane is a cyclone when he perfoms live; this is okay, but television doesn’t do justice to what I’ve seen them do in front of a sold-out crowd at Spaceland.
