Dead Man’s Bones ‘Name in Stone’ (Video)

Usually I’m wary of actors trying to be musicians, but I’m so glad that Ryan Gosling proves me wrong. With bandmate Zach Shields, they directed the video in a graveyard and were satisfied with just two takes. I raise my flag up into your heart, begins the chorus, and it’s a modest production in sepia tones and Gosling and Shields’ costumes are austere– in harmonious accord with their bare bones production. Their self-titled debut doesn’t hit the streets (or the graveyard–ahh creepy) until early Oct on Anti, but it’s gonna be a killer. Okay, no more lame puns. Here’s the video with LA Inner City Mass Choir and the Silverlake Conservatory Choir:
