URB: You’ve been DJing for 20 years. Is it still exciting? What do you do to keep it interesting?
Felix da Housecat: I wouldn’t want to do anything different, my life is just so crazy and excitingIf I been doing this 23 years, obviously it still must be exciting and interesting to keep me at it all these years.

Where are you finding the most exciting records now? Is there a particular community or labels you look to?
On ichat with my friends.  My DJ friends send me songs right after they make them.  There are some many DJ friends sending me their latest stuff like: Erol Alkan, Josh Wink, Atrak, Felix Cartal.

The new album has a song called “LA Ravers” which seems like it’s making fun of the “LA sound.” Is that the point?
No, it’s actually embracing all the ravers in LA. I was inspired by Reza’s monster massive party last year the LA kids showed me so much love I had to make a song for them

If we all want to be Prince, which era Prince do you want to be?
I love the ’80s Prince! The dude I am signing about is the Prince about 1978-1991. We all wanna be Prince, that Prince, at least I did
