The artistic visionary Dylan Nathan who goes by Jega, releases his third album in nine years after his 2000 release Geometry and doesn’t disappoint. Unlike previous albums, Variance is a fluid double disc effort consisting of Variance Volume 1 and 2. Long awaited by many, the album takes you away to a place of melodic down-tempo ambient sounds and creates a free flowing vibe in every track. The album goes through a day to night transformation within each of the accompanying volumes. Volume 2 kicks everything up a notch for nine faster tempo electronica based songs. Jega is know for his well composed albums, and throughout the years his sound has only matured and developed a richer depth that has yet to be experienced by listeners.
