While remixes have always been the norm for groups to get their names out, it seems that the unexpected remix is gaining ground (I’ve gotten tracks lately that remix everything from 70s/80s group Zebra to Slayer). This new remix from group (I’m guessing?) called HOT DAMN puts an electro touch on the Beatnuts’ classic jam, “Watch Out Now.”
I say “guess” in regards to HOT DAMN because the email sent out was rather cryptic, though it did make me laugh. Sample line, “With the right elements in place, HOT DAMN creates electro that makes artists say things like, “hey bro, not now, I’m working.” We know they were so stunned they couldn’t respond, and HOT DAMN is ok with that.”
