Chromeo, Canada’s top purveyors of new school funk and 80s soul revivalists, have been tabbed to compile the next edition of the esteemed DJ Kicks mix series. They’re even stepping up and giving away a free download of their cover of The Eagles’ “I Can’t Tell You Why” which you can nab by providing an e-mail address at chromeo-dj-kicks.com.
With their mix of early 80s disco and R&B they join other artists like Kruder & Dorfmeister, Tiga, Hot Chip and Booka Shade who have had their own fun under the DJ Kicks banner. Expect to hear the sounds of Leo Sayer, The Alan Parsons Project and others in Chromeo’s mix.
