Fritz Helder & The Phantoms – Greatest Hits

No Tags

Ironically enough Fritz Helder & The Phantoms entitled their debut album Greatest Hits. Quirky enough to get interest? Yes. Along with their avant-garde clothing stylings? Of course. But do they deliver? You look at them and except them to synth your head off and break out into straight dance party mode, but the album doesn’t start out that way. However, don’t let the snooze track “Like A Lady” scare you away too much, keep listening as the album gets more typical of band who dresses like incredibly fashionable club kids. The lyrical content is crude, silly, elitist and a little bit sexy however the music is much more playful. The tracks “Fritzmania” & “Punch Me In The Neck” are almost impossible not to dance to. If you’re a fan of trashing other scenes and throwin’ shade you’ll enjoy this album immensely, or if you’ve just been waiting for a cross between Mount Sims and Lady GaGa, you’ve found it in Fritz Helder & The Phantoms.
