33 Sneaker Pimps Responds to Door Drama

If you bought tickets for last week’s Sneaker Pimps show in NYC, you probably knew nothing about this problem. But for dozen of industry and media folks, the hassel at the door produced some not so favorable reviews of the night. Sneaker Pimps founder Peter Fahey issue up an official response to URB.com:

“First up I wanted to thank everyone who came out to the Sneaker Pimps New York show, aside from a few small issues we felt that it was one of the best in our seven year history. I also wanted to take the time to apologize to any media, industry and even our friends who had a hard time getting into the show at the front door. This was the first time we did a show at this venue and unfortunately due to the venues operating policy did not allow us to manage the door and ticketing at the event. We had to submit the press and guest list to management who in-turn gave it to their own door staff. For some reason, still unknown to us, they gave just about everyone a hard time about getting in. We want everyone to understand that this situation was out of our control due to the venues policies. We appreciate everyone’s continued support of our tour over the years and will work with our venues more closely to ensure this doesn’t happen ever again. Thanks, Pete – Founder Sneaker Pimps, Inc.”

The traveling sneaker show-slash-concert continues with dates throught the summer.
