Toss your CDs and cancel your iTunes account. The LA Times is reporting that vinyl sales just passed the 1 million and are on track to hit 2.9 million sales by year’s end according to SoundScan. That’s a 50% increase from the same period last year. We wouldn’t be surpised if this number was actually much higher, since all those import techno records and used hip-hop finds aren’t recorded via SoundScan’s methods.
