Jonny Dollar, who produced Massive Attackes legendary first album Blue Lines, and worked with Neneh Cherry and Depeche Mode, passed away last week at the age of 45 from cancer. Dollar’s work with Massive Attack, which began on the group’s second single, “Daydreaming,” made him one of the original architects of what would become trip-hop.
