The soundsystems were turned way up to provide the equally revved crowds with all thumping beats they could handle as summer unofficially began with day one of Movement 2009 in Detroit’s Hart Plaza.
While the festival got things going in the early afternoon, my weekend began with an accumulation of delays, none more cumbersome than the more than three-hour wait in line to check into my hotel.
