Hot Chip – Bugged Out Mix 1&2

No Tags

British electro-pop group Hot Chip release a double sided mix guaranteed to ignite the fire of any party from church functions and high school dances to the haziest and sweatiest of inner city clubs. The first side includes a mix of dance bangers from Mark Romboy, John Trejada and Gabriel Ananda while the B-side features house party favorites from Zapp & Roger, Fleetwood Mac and Hall & Oates.
Side A moves at a fast pace with all of the mash-ups and synthesizers you could possibly want. ‘Previlist’ by Junktion utilizes the dub style bass bumps with a droning sample that peeks in and out like a Prairie Dog on the Discovery Channel. Betwixt all of the dance hubbub Hot Chip manages to debut a new track entitled ‘Take it in’ which sticks upbeat drum and bass with wailing synthesizers and catchy lyrics for a strong single from the grammy-nominated group.

Side B is self explanatory. Everyone from Biz Markie to The Dooby Brothers shows up to turn the party out with little to no remixing done on each track. Seamless transitions between tracks make both mixes a must play at house parties and busy clubs the world over.
