Last night, Depeche Mode shut down Hollywood Blvd for a taping of Jimmy Kimmel live. 12,000 fans got to watch the free performance from a variey of “pens” while those not lucky enough to score free tickets swarmed outside the fences (and almost took some out, much to the concern of the LAPD.) But mounted police and cooler heads prevailed, avoiding a repeat of the faed 1989 DM riots in LA and allowing Gahan and Co. to perform six songs, including new single “Wrong” as well as “Enjoy the Silence,” “Walking In My Shoes” and, of course, “Personal Jesus.”
