First U2, and now Justice have remixed “Let Love Rule” for the album’s 20th anniversary (which means it now sounds 40 years old). Maybe Justice are simply amusing themselves. Maybe they’re having trouble wrapping their heads around a new sound, so they figure they can keep gluing the same dozen or so sounds onto a new, more mainstream, canvas. I don’t remember the original having a saxophone solo and it’s too early for me to check, so perhaps that’s an inspired flourish. I like the idea anyways.
