Hot Chip have reported in to BBC 6 about this new album, a professedly mellower affair “Taking cues from ’80s R&B duo Womack and Womack’s ‘Teardrops’ and ’90s pop a’ la Crystal Waters’ ‘Gypsy Woman,’“
Expect less “ready for the floor” and more “heading for the door” on Hot Chip’s new album. The Brit electro band’s follow-up to 2008’s dance-tastic album Made in the Dark will feature mellow “end of the night tunes.”
We won’t hear the new record until 2010, but member Alex Taylor has been including one track, “One Life Band,” presumably, um, at the end of the night.
