Regardless of which side of the argument you’re on, UCLA is the place to be this morning, with an Stop Animal Expoitation Now rally being followed immediately by a pro-research rally from a new group Pro-Test, who have been formed to “stand up to animal rights extremism,” which in recent months has grown more violent in Westwood, with one researcher’s car firebombed and another’s house flooded.
Whatever side you’re on (full disclosure, my wife is a researcher at UCLA, but does not do animal testing) get out there, be heard—but berespectful and be safe.
