Obviously, acclaimed director/actor/writer Woody Allen isn’t the normal URB.com fare, but a short story of his that was just published in the New Yorker caught our attention. In his wonderfully delightful short story that somehow skewers reincarnation and villain-du-jour Bernie Madoff, called “Tails of Manhatten,” Allen finds the cultural awareness to drop “O.M.G.” and “Clock the ice on [her]” within just a few paragraphs. While the man’s films have always trumped his fiction, this short story is a worthy read.
