I was talking to some of my homies the other day and most of them were talking about NBA All Star Weekend. I didn’t get a chance to catch any of the festivities cause I was out doing my thing and partying and what not but apparently, I didn’t really miss anything. I did check out the Slam Dunk Contest online and it was less than impressive, until Nate jumped over Dwight. But then, all of that got me thinking on the status of basketball now a days. The Olympic team had a SQUAD, so there was no way they shouldn’t have gotten gold. So in all actuality, they didn’t really win anything. Second, the East is on the comeback trail and Lebron’s trying to help shit the pour to our coast but he can’t seem to get past the Boston Three Party. Lastly, and I know you’ve guys knew this already, but the games now a days just suck. I’m kinda starting to wish that I was born a little earlier and could really enjoy the Jordan Era.
Either way, being the New Yorker I am, it was nice to see something positive come out of New York. I know, you’re probably thinking to yourselves what the hell I’m talking about but I’m talking about Nate. He’s won two out of the last three Slam Dunk Contests and truthfully, everything else in New York sucks right now. Even Jay-Z is slacking. He’s in dire need of a shape up, the Mets are still sucking, and half the Yankees are on steroids (it hasn’t come out yet but it will. Mark my words).
