Canadian star Deadmau5 has put his name next to a new iPhone/iPod touch revolutionary app that allows you to mix his music. Touch Mix could also be a forerunner to how DJing software on the platform should work.

There are two virtual decks on Touch Mix, as well as a crossfader and volume controls. You can adjust BPMs, and there are also a few sound effects including a scratch option.

Sounds great on paper, but Touch Mix will only appeal to Deadmau5’ fans for now as the software only comes with ten Deadmau5 tracks (which is great for him), and it’s not currently possible to import any other music.

That said, this is only version 1 of Touch Mix, and presumably Future Audio Workshop will release a more complete DJing app in the future.
