Virgin founder Richard Branson has done it again; popping a bottle of champagne on the wing of his new super swank Boeing 777 ER, the “honorary Australian” quipped, “what recession?”
VAustralia is scheduled to launch 10 nonstop roundtrip flights from L.A. to Australia a week starting Feb 28th. The 14 hour non-stop flight is priced to be 25-30% cheaper than the average fare to Australia. Originally scheduled to fly only to Sydney and Brisbane the audience went crazy when he announced that they’ve now added Melbourne. One of ten in its fleet, this 777ER is off the chain, boasting a full bar, 38 inches of legroom for every seat in economy class, Internet connection, texting, eggplant leather seats and even twinkling stars on the ceiling, VAustralia is most definitely the only way to go down under.
