I wasn’t able to get this post up during the week due to a hectic work schedule, and because I wanted to have at least one straight through listen of the tape so I could have some credible commentary for this prestigious blog.
So, without further adeu, here is URB’s belated presentation of DJ Skee’s newest mixtape, MIDWESTGANGSTABOXFRAMECADILLACMUZIK, by feature emcee, Freddie Gibbs.
Representing Gary, Indiana, the hometown of a certain recently departed “King of Pop,” Freddie Gibbs is gangster rap’s best hope for survival in this new digital age of music. Being that blogs are supposed to be succinct, I don’t want to overload you with information, but just know that if you like UGK, Ice Cube, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Tupac, or all the above, then you will like Freddie Gibbs.
