Orbital have announced a set of reunion shows, their first since Glastonbury 2004.

Just last week I sat down with a galley copy of Superstar DJs Here We Go, the new book by ’90s Mixmag Editor Dom Phillips about the era of superclubs in the UK. Inspired, I poppedin an old Sasha at Shelly tape from 1991 and was instantly floored by his inclusion of Orbital’s ‘Belfast’ in his set. Inspired, I pulled out an old CD and loaded ‘Belfast’ into my Serato, sure to play it at my next DJ gig. Then three days later James F!@#$%^ Friedman played ‘Belfast’ at a party and I resigned myself to waiting another 15 years for it to be novel again.

The moral of this story is that no matter how far you try to stay ahead of the nostalgia curve, you will eventually trip over it. Oh, and Orbital is back!
