The second single from Mos Def’s upcoming The Ecstatic has leaked, and it’s easily the most unconventional hip-hop track from a big deal rapper this year. Built around nothing but tribal shuffle beat with a chorus that takes it down to a low tom-tom and mighty Mos whispering ‘Simmer down now,’ this will NOT be in da club. IT actually reminds us of something that might have been on Q-Tips long discarded Kamaal the Abstract. Ok, we’re officially excited about this record.
