A big part of the Chicago Street art community was lost with the tragic murder of Brendan Scanlon, AKA, Solve last year, but the man’s whimsical, provoking and still seemingly ubiquitous work will get some much deserved attention with an AIGA-sponsored show opening Friday at Country Club Chicago, 1100 N. Damen.
The show was put together with help from Solve’s RGB crew and will feature a new sculpture attached to his bike along with a collection of photos and videos of his work, including his attention grabbing installation on a Blue Line El train. The free opening is from 6 – 10 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16.
Check out an interview about the show with RGB members here.
