One of rap’s most beloved, most awkward surrogate father-son combinations will apparently reconvene in a big way on Eminem’s upcoming Relapse. Hip hop’s answer to Elvis has been “working pretty much straight with Dre… for the last five months,” he told BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe. Mr. Mathers also promises that this new record will have more output from Dr. Dre than any of his previous releases, adding that these extensive sessions have produced “a lot of material.”
Now the only question that remains is – will Dre go through Relapse, due out (realistically) before year’s end, before he undergoes Detox?
