So I was chillin watchin ESPN SportsCenter the other day and I hear about Cincinatti Bengals Receiver Chad Johnson legally changing his last name to “OCHO CINCO.” Interesting? Clever? Crazy? Great? Call it what you wanna call it.
Point is– it all seemed so simple until Reebok gave a little input. Having a contract with Chad means that they are producing inventory for him. Ooops! His bad. He must have forgotten about the 100,000 “C. Johnson” jerseys they got on the racks! A jersey costs like fifty, sixty bucks or so. Let’s do the math. That means about 5 million dollars or so. If he really doesnt wanna wait to get those OCHO CINCO jerseys in stores, he better get ready to buy them or hope that a bunch of his supporters will help a brotha out!
I’m sure there are a few of you out there that are getting some custom made shit, but as for the legit Reebok ones- sorry buddies, ya gotta wait!
