Staten Island emcee N.Y. Oil didn’t just appear on the scene in 2006, he kicked its f**kin face in with a steel-toed boot. The rapper’s first single, “Y’all Should All Get Lynched” (Video below) got immediately banned from Youtube for its incendiary lyrics and accompanying video. Words seem pretty pointless when the video says it all but it’s Powerful imagery to say the least. Since then, the emcee has never been shy to speak his mind on everything from hip-hop to politics to racial issues and, along with Immortal Technique, is one of the few emcees to truly not give a f**k how what he says will impact “sales” or “credibility.” We’ve compiled a brief video primer below to get you familiar. After you check it though, make sure you check out the recently released Hood Treason on Babygrande for the complete story.
