Obama Shouts Out Lil Wayne In Speech

obama Obama Shouts Out Lil Wayne In SpeechSen. Barack Obama upped his street cred exponentially by referencing to hip hop’s much loved “Lollipop” licker, Lil Wayne, in one of his most recent town hall meetings in Georgia.

In an effort to help dispel the rapid dropout rates of high school students, Obama encouraged youth to raise the bar on education, which in his opinion, is more important than any basketball dream and ultimate rapper career.

Obama told the crowd, “You are probably not that good a rapper. Maybe you are the next Lil’ Wayne, but probably not, in which case you need to stay in school.”

Lil Wayne has garnered so much success this year that he is truly the talk of any town—even Obama’s got him on the brain. But, we all know being a first draft pick in the NBA or selling a million records the first week your album is released is hard to acquire. However, getting your education is more likely to strive than the two. I will have to agree with Obama. He’s the man.
