The brass band at Sigur Ros was a nice surprise and the mathematics of Battles was funky, but this set from NOLA’s Dirty Dozen Brass Band was just the magic shit, happening in the little tent by the ferris wheel…Someone with a better record collection than mine will recognize far more musical references than I noticed here- Parliamant’s “Flashlight” Curtis Mayfield’s “Freddie’s Dead” Bob Marley’s “Get Up, Stand Up”
