With all the buzz around rising gas prices and global warming, have we stopped to think.. what about the animals?! Well, PUMA and Atmos NYC have, bringing us the PUMA x Atmos Endangered Species Collection. The collection, to be released in two series (the Polar Pack and Asia Pack), include three shoes inspired by photography from Mitsuaki Iwago, highly-acclaimed National Geographic photographer, and features some cute critters.
Each shoe features a different creature, and displays unique characteristics of each animal that Iwago has captured in his prized photos. Now check the details: photos of the animals printed on a removable insole, the name and habitat of each animal on the reverse tongue AND outsole in English and Japanese. If you’re not aware of our impact on these animals after taking a look and sporting these kicks, I don’t know what will.
The PUMA x Atmos NYC Harp Seal Clyde (part of the Polar Pack, duh) drops on Saturday, Jun 28th. On sale only at Atmos NYC and Ubiq in Philadelphia beginning Jun 28th, you don’t want to miss out on these sneaks; they’re almost as cute as harp seals themselves!
