Fujiya & Miyagi’s Transparent Things earned stellar reviews from practically everyone, including us. So damned if we weren’t ecstatic to hear that their follow-up, Lightbulbs, is set for a Sep 16th release. (And this ain’t hip-hop so that date should be set in stone.) The band was nice enough to give a commentary/preview of each track on the new album to whet your appetites for the long, hot summer.
1. Knickerbocker Glory
A vibration of words that sound good, touching on lost innocence, child star Lena Zavaroni, the very first tragedy of X Factor-style excess, and the joy of multi-storeyed ice cream sundaes at Woolacombe Bay.
