On Friday night, I got to drop by the studio to check out what was going on with Bishop Lamont (Aftermath). He currently has a new mixtape, “The Confessional,” which was to be released on Jun 10th. However, a certain DJ (who will remain nameless, if you really want to know, google it) leaked the mixtape as well as several unreleased joints onto the internet…
Though I don’t the circumstances behind the situation which led to the intentional leak, all I do know is that Bishop is still coming strong. In particular, there was a new joint he did with Busta Rhymes which got everyone in the studio juiced. The groove was DEFINATELY on point.
Saturday evening I met up with the Interscope crew (Spence, Nick, Jamie, etc. what up!) and enjoyed myself a live performance by N.E.R.D. as they shot the video for “Spazz.” Also in attendence were Will.I.Am, Chester French, and Charles Hamilton.
