While N*E*R*D’s video for “Everyone Nose” was a direct reference to everyone’s favorite nose-feuled eye candy website, the second (allegedly official) version of Kanye West’s “Flashing Lights” is more of a stylistic (and skinny white girl) nod to Last Night’s Party. Version #2 of what May be Ye’s best song ever isn’t the slasher-flick twisted shock, but there is an undeniable tension in the sharp edits and muc-maligned female lead. It sure seems like she wants to kidnap and kill Mr. West, even if they don’t share a single scene together.
