Just briefly, as I was downloading “Damn I’m Cold,” presumably from Bun B’s forthcoming II Trill record and definitely featuring Lil Wayne, the internuts did indeed go nuts. Maybe it was scrabulous that literally froze my shit because I had to download the song three times. Maybe that adjacent World of Warcraft machine did you in. Nahright has the track. Over low riding organs made for luxury whips, Bun B turns turns champagne flutes upside down, seemlessly moving from life celebration to drop some Don P on the floor for Pimp C shit. It’s now officially fun to guesstimate the vocoderedness of Weezy’s vocals.
Eskay also has our new cover. URB #153 will be seeing the light of day any minute now. Nas is above, The Roots are below. As is the latter’s article and a stream of Rising Down. Maybe this is what blew up the internet.
And we still haven’t stopped playing TI’s being outside-of-a-solitary-confinement-cell-for-the-first-time-in-13-years-and being-siked-on-it new single, “No Matter What.” Even if his house arrested backyard was beautiful for breakfast, we still believe his sentiment. What the fuck are you listening to?
